Our school is having our annual Walk-a-Thon again this year, but we are just doing it differently. My mom, dad, sisters, and I are all signed up as a team ("Fries Family"). We will go walk together for at least an hour on the weekend of September 19-20 or September 26-27. We will probably go walking at Daniel Boone Homestead down the road from us, one of our favorite places to walk. We like to walk the paths there because we see so many things like turtles, birds, frogs, deer, butterflies, and foxes.
If you would like to sponsor me in our Walk-a-Thon this year, just use this website. Like most schools, my school had to buy lots of extra things this summer like more Chromebooks for the students to use at home, desk shields to use if we are at school, and subscriptions to online learning tools. All of the money we raise through the Walk-a-Thon will go directly to St. Catharine of Siena School to help pay for these and other things.
Because we got to send out the invitations to sponsors in a different way this year, my mom and I picked out a few pictures of some of our favorite activities at our school this past year. Make sure to watch the video of our Trout in the Classroom trout release when our principal, her family, and my family released the trout we raised in our school into a creek close by us. (My whole 4th grade class was supposed to release them, but we couldn't because of coronavirus).
Thank you so much for your help!
